| eLearning and blended learning
If face to face training isn't suitable for you – perhaps you have significant numbers of staff widely scattered across locations, or you have a relatively high turnover of staff – then eLearning may be the answer. If your view of eLearning is that it is something that is passive and dull then you may be in for a pleasant surprise. Recent projects that we have developed for clients have included interactions comparable to classroom based interaction, audio streams, video and animation elements, sub-titles, surprise and timetabled quizzes, as well as the conventional elements of text and image.
Many of our existing courses, or elements from them, can be turned into eLearning, or alternatively we can develop a brand new course especially for your organisation. This will provide you with with training that is independent of person, place and time. eLearning can be mastered to be delivered from CD, from a web-server, or from your or our LMS (Learning Management System) and normally does not require you to install any software that is not already a corporate standard.
A further option is blended learning where we deliver face-to-face learning for knowledge critical elements of training where very high levels of iintellectual challenge are required, and we deliver eLearning for elements of training where personal study would have greatest efficacy.
The cost of customised eLearning will depend on the amount, type and complexity of work involved in the project and the chosen licensing and delivery method, and even where the initial cost of production may seem relatively high, you'll find that, in the longer term, eLearning is a very cost-effective way of delivering training when you factor into the cost of training the time, travel and accommodation elements of fixed location based training.
