Coronavirus – COVID-19

Covid-19

This is a very difficult time for all of us and we wanted to send our best wishes to you and your families and to thank you for your loyal custom and support over the years.

Like most businesses we have closed our offices, redirected our calls to our cell phones and are working from home. We will not be able to offer face-to-face meetings and training sessions during the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, we have had calls and emails from clients who wish to go ahead with planned training, some of whom are worried and very concerned about maintaining CPD and the momentum of their learning programmes.

We wanted to reassure you by letting you know that we have a multi-part strategy:

  1. Self-Paced Online Learning

As our online learning grows more and more popular, we are continuing to increase the number of self-paced online courses we offer on our world-class learning platform.

Registration is easy, no software is required, and you can pay for training on a module by module basis. Completion of any module or course will be rewarded with a personalised CPD/CPE certificate. You can find more information about our current online learning modules in our downloadable learning catalogue on our front page.

The benefits of this type of training include no travel costs and working at a time, place, and pace to suit you. All you need is a device (large screen phone, tablet, laptop or workstation) that can run a browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari etc.) and can connect to the Internet.

  1. ILT (Instructor Led Training) using our Virtual Classroom

For those of you who prefer face-to-face training we have, for the time being, replaced this with video-based training. We have been running courses this way as long ago as 2001, and over the past couple of weeks we’ve received super feedback about our virtual classroom.

Our ILT courses are no different in content or duration from the equivalent face-to-face course. You will still be guided through the course by one of Mindgrove’s training presenters and will be provided with the full course manual. All students who book one of Mindgrove’s ILT virtual classroom courses will receive instructions on how to access the virtual classroom and will receive a link for a test session in advance.

The benefits of this type of training include: zero travel costs, working from home or place of your choosing, working in small training groups at mutually agreed times, flexibility over course pace, and the ability to ask questions at any time as the course progresses.

All you need is a device with a microphone built in or freestanding (typically a tablet, or laptop) that can run a browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari etc.) and to be able to connect to the Internet. If your device has a webcam then, as a bonus, you can interact visually with others. Our presenter has both a video cam and studio mike for good sound and visual quality.

There’s no need to wait for advertised dates for public courses – we will arrange a date to suit the group or individuals as enquiries come in. See our training catalogue on our home page for what we have on offer.

  1. Flexible Training

During the coming weeks and months, until life returns to normal, we will be abandoning rules, norms, timetables and constraints. Whether you were hoping to attend one of Mindgrove’s open public courses, including those we run in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors, or you are a small in-house team looking to train your staff, please get in touch on +44 1925 730 200, or email at enquiries@mindgrove.co.uk  and we’ll be happy to discuss how we may be able to help.

For those of you who will need to abandon training until this crisis us over, we send you our genuine very best wishes and look forward to working with you again in the future.
